March 27, 2017 & March 28, 2017: Round 2 Finalist Interviews. Location: Berger Singerman LLP, 1450 Brickell Ave., Suite 1900, Miami, FL 33131.
March 24, 2017: Deadline to select interview time slot.
Saturday, February 18, 2017 and Sunday, February 19, 2017: All Nyah Project Finalists must participate in the Weekend Leadership Institute to be considered for fellowship to Summer Experiential Learning Program in South Africa/Namibia.
Monday, February 6, 2017: All Finalist must submit via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org completed Finalist Supporting Documents in PDF format: High School Transcript; Executed Media Release Form; Executed Conditions of Participation; Copies of the following: United States Passport (NOTE: All participants must have US Passport, valid for at least 12 months from June 1, 2017 in order to be considered for International Experiential Learning Program. If you don’t yet have a US Passport, or have a passport from another country, please contact us immediately.)
Day 1: (July 13) Travel Day. Red-eye from MIAMI to LONDON (Departure at 6:20 PM; Arrival at 7:55 AM)
Day 2: (July 14) Tours and cultural sites in London. Red-eye from LONDON to JOHANNESBURG (Departure at 8:05 PM; Arrival at 7:55 AM)
Day 3: (July 15) JOHANNESBURG to NAMIBIA (Departure at 12:00 PM; Arrival at 1:15 PM). Travel to Okonjima cheetah conservation
Day 4-6: (July 16-July 18) Eco-educational tours and activities, engagement with conversation primary schools, visits to traditional villages.
Day 6: (July 18) travel to Erindi. Evening game drive/safari excursion
Day 7: (July 19) travel to Swakopmund. Engagement with private and public schools.
Day 8: (July 20) Swapkomund cultural excursions, including desert tour and quad biking
Day 9: (July 21) Early morning return to Windhoek. High level meetings and visits with dignitaries and visit to MMCT primary school. Finale dinner with MMCT.
Day 10: (July 22) Rest day and exploration of Windhoek. Personal development activities.
Day 11: (July 23) NAMIBIA to JOHANNESBURG (Departure at 6:00 AM; Arrival at 8:45 a.m.). Soweto visit, Mandela House tour and Apartheid museum. Redeye from JOHANNESBURG TO LONDON (Departure at 8:25 PM; Arrival at 6:35 AM)
Day 12: (July 24: Travel Day. Flight from LONDON- MIAMI (Departure at 11:35 AM; Arrival at 4:00 p.m.)
