College Access Practice (CAP) Awards

The College Access Practice (CAP) Awards celebrates community champions who are dedicated, committed, and innovative in how they are improving college access outcomes for underrepresented students in South Florida.

The CAP Awards are open to not-for-profit organizations, for profit corporations, and individuals. CAP Champions have made a measurable impact in the lives of the people they serve, unlock opportunities and increase access for college-bound youth in our community, and utilize innovative practices for improving college access outcomes for underrepresented students in South Florida.

  • Outstanding Individual

ELIGIBILITY

Applications may be submitted by the organization/individual as a self-nomination or by third-party nomination. The organization must be headquartered or have operations in Miami-Dade County and/or Broward County. College access program/efforts must be currently offered by the nominee. Only applications that meet all the requirements/criteria will be considered.

All entries must be received by the deadline and include a properly completed application.

PROCESS

Nominations will be reviewed, and final selection made by a panel of community advisors.

The top three champions from each category will be honored at our annual Celebration of Impact on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at Miami-Dade College, Wolfson Campus - Chapman Conference Center. All nominees will be invited to attend.

Nomination deadline is Friday, April 28th at 5:00 PM ETC.
